Faery Wings: THE SLUAGH in Silver

Faery Wings: THE SLUAGH in Silver
In Irish mythology, the Aes Sídhe, also called the Aos Sí ("People of the Mounds"), are noble fae. They are the legacy of the Tuatha De Danaan, and they dwell in the Sidhe. These wings are named for the Sluagh, who are closely associated with the Aes Sídhe in folklore and mythology. The Sluagh are the Host of the Air, sometimes thought to be the spirits of the restless dead, who fly through the night.

We are pleased to present you with these magical Faery Wing earrings-- handmade start to finish and ultra-iridescent, they have been adorned with genuine Swarovski crystal, and then encased in resin so that they are durable and completely waterproof. They are also extremely lightweight!

These wings flash all the shades of night-- deep blues shot through with the purple of twilight and the green of elven fire, ever changing. The crystals are a gorgeous teal. The metal is silver tone.

They are handmade by the pair, so there will be slight differences in shape between them. They will measure 2 1/4" - 2 3/4" from the tops of their sterling silver earwires. The wings are photographed in both natural light and diffused light to give you a sense of their iridescence.
