The Secret Menu 2023!

Hello all! I have a small update for you, but before I get to that--

First of all, thank you for all your well wishes! For those who don't know, my kiddo went back to school after the Winter break and immediately brought Covid home. I ended up having to extend my hiatus for a little over a week while we recuperated. I have less than 10 orders in my queue that are overdue, and those will be shipped within the next 48 hours. I still have a little bit of a cough, but thankfully my sense of smell is coming back. As someone who relies on her nose quite a lot, it was really unnerving to not be able to smell anything!

Secondly, the dreaded USPS price increase has arrived, and they have indeed done away with several of their flat rate options. I have had to raise my shipping prices somewhat to compensate. Depending on the weight of your package, you will notice a $1 - 2 price hike. I had hoped to be able to put it off somewhat longer, but the USPS has been raising prices multiple times a year and at this point it was unfortunately inevitable.

BUT ON TO HAPPIER THINGS!

First and foremost, there are two new limited edtions in the shop.

This year's Imbolc is going to be a memorable one for me, and I wanted to commemorate it. Imbolc is celebrated on February 1st, and is a festival where we encourage the growing strength of the sun and the emergence of the very first flowers of the year, like daffodil and snowdrop. Lambing season traditionally starts at Imbolc, which is another promise of good things to come. Imbolc is also a festival sacred to the Goddess Brigid and also the Christian St. Brigid.

IMBOLC: Oat grains, golden honey, goat's milk, and fresh cream.

BRIGID'S FIRE: Cinnamon, clove bud, amber, tonka bean, and oak leaves.

And finally, the return of the SECRET MENU! For those of you who are new, the Secret Menu is when I list the quantities available I can make from leftover oils from the last year. For ease, they are only available as tins, and some can be quite limited, with only two or three candles available. If I have leftover labels, you'll receive one of those, otherwise you'll receive a professionally-printed label with the name of the scent handwritten on. These candles will be sold at a slight discount-- $12 each.

And that's all that is fit to print! Happy New Year to all!

Warmly,
Chris
